The eMITS team at Kennedy Space Center supported the broadcast of Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost Mission 1, the company’s inaugural flight under NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) initiative. The mission launched at 1:11 a.m. EST from Launch Complex 39A, with the broadcast streamed on NASA+ and NASA social media platforms. It featured Subject Matter Experts, commentators, and breathtaking launch views from multiple locations across KSC. Blue Ghost Mission 1 carries a suite of NASA scientific investigations and technology demonstrations to the Moon, paving the way for future exploration under the Artemis program. The spacecraft is targeting a lunar landing on Sunday, March 2.

Ohio Aerospace Institute was proud to support NASA Glenn Research Center’s Evening with the Stars, which explored the institution’s unique research and technology innovations through dynamic presentations by Tim Smith, PhD, Nikki Welch, and Carlos Garcia-Galan. The evening was attended by NASA and industry leaders from across the country. Dennis Andersh, CEO and President of Parallax Advanced Research, started the evening with a welcome to attendees, Terry Slaybaugh, VP of Sites and Infrastructure at JobsOhio told of NASA Glenn’s importance to Ohio, and Dr. James Kenyon, Director of NASA’s Glenn Research Center, provided a review of the center’s accomplishments and introduced the engaging speakers.
