Inspiring the next generation of women in transportation! We had an amazing time at WTS Los Angeles Girls Empowerment Day at the Flight Path Museum at LAX. Our Deputy Project Manager Nora C. led a powerful workshop on elevator pitches, helping high school girls build confidence and find their voices. We were honored to participate in the first Festival Trail charrette bringing together community members to shape the vision for a non-vehicular corridor ahead of mega-events like the 2026 World Cup, 2027 Super Bowl, and the 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games. ? Our team, including Edgar Gutierrez and Mariana Vera, helped facilitate discussions and document concerns raised by ADA advocates, ensuring that accessibility remains at the forefront of this mobility project. ? The Festival Trail is a community-driven initiative led by Move LA, FASTLinkDTLA, Agency Artifact, Somos Group, LA Commons, LA Neighborhood Initiative, and the California Community Foundation. Community resilience isn’t just what happens after crises—it’s about proactively building strength and sustainability over time, ensuring communities can recover, adapt, and emerge even stronger. ? That’s what I took away from an inspiring presentation by Miguel A. Santana, President & CEO of the California Community Foundation and head of the newly formed Department of Angels. ? This incredible initiative, launched in partnership with Snap Inc., has already raised over $75 million to support families and communities affected by the Palisades and Altadena wildfires. But it’s more than just relief. The Department of Angels is focused on long-term resilience, providing resources and solutions that help communities rebuild. ?
