Ardmore Initiative’s mission is to create and maintain a thriving, economically viable downtown business district for the benefit of merchants, residents, and visitors. Ardmore Initiative achieves this by providing regular sidewalk cleaning, planting seasonal flowers, offering business assistance services, marketing and promoting the downtown through Destination Ardmore, and advocating for the interests of business and property owners, among many other initiatives.

We’re excited to announce that Windows Into History, our “pop-up museum” exploring and celebrating downtown Ardmore’s past, is the Pennsylvania Downtown Center 2024 Townie Award Winner for Promotions & Marketing: General Image & Identity. Born as an Ardmore Initiative Streetscape Committee solution to spruce up empty storefronts, Windows Into History: Explore Historic Ardmore became a robust collaboration with the Lower Merion Historical Society, the Lower Merion Conservancy, the Township of Lower Merion, and downtown business and property owners.
