Thank you Cleantech Group for the mention in your post about point-source carbon capture. Our membrane-based carbon capture solution is cost effective, even at smaller scales. And can be combined with other technologies to offer a low cost, low energy, simple operation solution to decarbonizing existing infrastructure.
Point Source Capture - a silver bullet for industrial emitters? PSC technologies capture #CO2 directly from industrial sources. In 2022, hard-to-abate sectors produced 36 GtCO2, 68% of global emissions. Estimates show if investment targets are reached, PSC could remove 2.5-4 GtCO2 annually, which is less than half of the 7-10 GtCO2 needed to meet 2050 climate goals. This means PSC capacity must make a 50x-90x leap each year. PSC technologies include capture via solvents, solid adsorbents, membranes, and cryogenic systems. However, a lack of standardization and regulation on pricing leaves it up to government support to establish the carbon pricing system.
