It’s a good idea to create a fire barrier over your heating systems. Double up some 5/8 drywall and seal up penetrations. Yes it’s more difficult to service but well worth the trade off.

We built out a new bathroom and originally planned for a standard 5 foot stall shower but our client asked for storage options. We took a foot away from the shower and converted it to small linen cubbies. Was it worth taking away from the stall shower in favor of storage?

Something about red guard red that I fancy… not sure if it’s the color or that I can rest assured that my bathroom work has redundant protection against leak and failure. My plumbers would add…A lead pan is the OG guard and will always be the best way to stop leaks for at least a hundred years…and this is true. Anybody have a 100year red guard test? Maybe in 80 years or so…. Let me know how that goes.
