  • This Black History Month, we must recognize how disability has too often been erased from the civil rights stories. Their stories are essential—they show us the resilience, leadership, and the impact of those who have fought for justice at the intersections of race and disability. When we acknowledge and celebrate Black disabled history, we honor those who have paved the way and commit to creating a better future for Black disabled people today. Our office was decorated with posters throughout the month celebrating the rich history, culture and achievements of Black Americans thanks to an initiative by our Fun Committee. We also held a staff lunch that featured culturally significant foods and treats, specially made by our staff! #BlackHistoryMonth #BlackDisabledHistory

  • We are firm believers that when we build a better world for people with IDD, we build a better world for all of us. Together, we have made a tremendous impact and progress in the quality of life and protection of human rights for people with disabilities. But we need to grow that impact! Simply put, your support is needed now more than ever before. Every dollar donated helps to provide us with the resources to protect and expand the life-giving home and community-based services that support people with disabilities. There still is a lot of work to do and just as The Arc of Warren County has done throughout our 70-year history, we will not rest until the humanity and needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are respected. We could not have come this far as an Agency without the support of the community, and for that we are profoundly thankful. Will you join us in defining the next chapter of empowerment and inclusion? Join us at arcwarren.org/give ??
