In our latest exploration of suburban intensification, we reimagined Calgary’s laneways as vibrant spaces for living, interaction, and architectural innovation. Traditional low-density, car-centric suburbs no longer meet the evolving needs of contemporary communities. Our vision transforms these underutilized spaces into dynamic and sustainable housing solutions. Through multi-computational design processes, we developed modular and customizable Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) that break from the homogeneity of conventional suburban architecture. These adaptable living spaces integrate seamlessly with both public and private realms, fostering housing affordability, community engagement, and a more diverse urban fabric. By redefining laneways as opportunities for thoughtful design intervention, we can enhance neighborhood sustainability, revitalize historic areas, and create more inclusive, flexible cities. This project is about more than just housing—it’s about shaping a future where suburban spaces are adaptable, resilient, and designed for people. What are your thoughts on unlocking the potential of suburban laneways? We're excited to share a speculative project that envisions an educational center at the Hudson Valley Invasive Park in Chatham, New York. The project redefines how we perceive and interact with local invasive species, such as the common reed and water chestnut. By using sustainable materials like thatch, derived from the very reeds we study, the building seamlessly integrates with its surroundings. This design blurs the boundaries between architecture and landscape, reflecting the ever-changing and unpredictable growth patterns of these species. But this project is more than just a building—it's a living laboratory and a statement. How can architecture and humans coexist with invasive species rather than simply combat them? Our center promotes a harmonious relationship, encouraging ecological stewardship and sustainable living. Through flexible spaces for research, education, and community engagement, we invite you to explore, learn, and participate in this innovative approach to environmental management. Join us in reimagining our connection with nature and setting a new precedent for ecological and architectural harmony. More visuals to come #Sustainability #Architecture #InvasiveSpecies #EcologicalDesign #HudsonValley #GreenBuilding #CommunityEngagement

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our first collaborative project with the talented team at Office Lou Arencibia! Together, we brought to life a stunning visual for a high-end farm-to-table restaurant located in the beautiful Philippines. The project has been a remarkable journey, blending the best of landscape architecture and experiential design. We tried to capture the essence of the restaurant's experiential garden, offering a unique dining atmosphere that harmonizes with its natural surroundings. The construction documents are underway, and we are eagerly looking forward to OLA bringing it to life in 2025! Thank you to Lou Arencibia for the incredible collaboration. Here’s to many more successful projects ahead! #ArchXPlus #OfficeOfLouArencibia #FarmToTable #RestaurantDesign #LandscapeArchitecture #Philippines #InnovativeDesign #SustainableDesign #UXDesign #Architecture #DesignExcellence
