Proud to announce that construction for the new Villa Maria Senior Housing development is about to get underway. Demolition of the existing buildings will begin within two weeks. The 74 new apartments for seniors age 62+ is expected to be completed within two years.

The Learning Lab has officially broken ground! Last week, Principal Kevin Wilson, AIA, LEED AP and Project Manager Nick Fedyk had the pleasure of attending the ground breaking ceremony. The 3 story building with nearly 21,000 square feet of interior space will include classrooms, studio space, offices, collaborative workspace, a variety of laboratories and much more. The Learning Lab will provide an unprecedented hands-on learning experiences and growth in enrollment empowers FAME, Inc. to develop learners prepared to adapt to any and all new technologies, physical or digital, while creating space for the next generation of leaders to transform conceptual understanding of innovation.

It is with great pleasure that we congratulate Rachel Reichert on passing her final Architect Registration Examination! She will now be a licensed architect in the State of Pennsylvania.   The Architect Registration Examination (ARE) is a multi-division exam used to assess your knowledge and skills regarding the practice of architecture. The current version of the exam, ARE 5.0, is developed by NCARB and features six divisions. Completing ARE 5.0 by passing all six divisions is required by all U.S. jurisdictions as a key step on the path to earning a license.   We are very proud of her resilience and commitment, not only with her studies, but with her work at Architectural Alliance.

The Urban Artist Exchange Pavilion provides Wilmington's Lower East Side community with a gathering place to celebrate community and culture. The open structure consists of six unique glulam frames with large cantilevers and incremental rotation from one frame to the next. Each bay has a unique geometry, creating a striking visual. We integrated a combination of steel tubes and tension rods to resolve the lateral loads. Each material used in the structure was carefully selected to ensure the community would enjoy it for years to come. We used preservative-treated glulam, and hot-dip galvanized steel that protects against corrosion. The screening behind the performers is made from cypress, a light wood often used in outdoor structures due to its durability and water resistance.
