Architect One, Inc is working to renovate and modernize the current library space without expanding the current footprint, focusing on upgrading technology, improving lighting and comfort, creating flexible areas, enhancing accessibility, and promoting sustainability for an enhanced user experience. The Brandt House in Alma, Kansas opened on February 14th, 2025 with a warm ribbon-cutting to welcome new guests. This charming, historic hotel has been thoughtfully transformed into an inviting tourist spot. Architect One, Inc worked closely with the Brandt House to bring their vision to life — creating a space that blends modern comfort with the rich character that makes the Brandt House so special to the community. Architect One, Inc is honored to partner with Topeka Bible Church to breathe new life into the historic Mulvane Building. Originally built in 1923, this building has a rich legacy, and we’re thrilled to help them create a space that will serve its community for years to come! This exciting renovation includes a new elevator and stairwell to enhance accessibility, as well as beautifully refreshed interiors on the 2nd and 3rd floors. A redesigned classroom layout will create a more functional and engaging learning environment, while a new walkway will improve circulation between the north and south sections of the building. AO is also adding brand-new basketball goals and transforming the teaching room to inspire future generations. This project is scheduled to be complete by late spring of 2025 so more to come. #FollowTheTransformation #ao_design #Architecture #Design

??The Johnson Gymnasium renovation begins! Big things are in the works at Kansas State School for the Blind! Today marked an exciting milestone as we kicked off the pre-bid meeting for the much-anticipated Johnson Gymnasium renovation. It’s the first step in bringing this space to life in a whole new way, and we’re thrilled to have you along for the journey! This transformation will give the gym brand-new flooring built for goalball, basketball, volleyball, performances, graduations, and more. We’re also upgrading the stage with modern equipment, adding flexible partitions, and creating a dedicated fitness room to make the space more versatile and welcoming for everyone! Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing updates as this project takes shape—from the selection of our construction team to the first signs of demolition and beyond. Architect One helped bring Salina Airport Authority's Hangar 626 back to life.?Originally built for WWII bombers, it now safely facilitates maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations of modern aircraft as well as educates future repair technicians.?Helping maintain Salina as a regional aviation hub, this hangar is more than a structure — it’s a gateway to new possibilities.
