The Archdiocese of Seattle supports Catholic ministry and encourages Catholic non-profits in Western Washington to apply for funding through the Saint Joseph Foundation. Established August 5, 2021, the St. Joseph Foundation is dedicated to connecting faith with charitable giving for the long-term support of the mission of the church and the Catholic community in Western Washington. The application period for grants from the St. Joseph Foundation of the Archdiocese of Seattle will be closing September 13, 2024. On Tuesday, April 30th CCSWW and CHS staff celebrated the long-awaited blessing and dedication of the newest addition of Supportive Housing in Shoreline, St. Margaret's Place, with the most reverend Archbishop Paul Etienne and Bishop Frank Schuster of the Archdiocese of Seattle. St. Margaret's Place provides 100 units of supportive housing for the most vulnerable in our community. The staff wants to thank all who came together to work on this incredible project and those who spoke at the event. Catholic Relief Services, which sponsors the program, “notified us that we were once again the top Rice Bowl diocese in the country,” said Steve Homiack, director of parish support and annual campaigns for the Archdiocese of Seattle’s development office, said March 8. This year’s Rice Bowl program continues through the end of Lent, and 25% of the money donated by local parishioners stays in the archdiocese.
