Faithbridge Church is welcoming Ash Wednesday, a holy day of prayer and fasting that marks the beginning of Lent. We recently completed an interior renovation of the East Building Sanctuary and a partial renovation of the West Building Kid’s Wing for Faithbridge. Designed by Studio RED Architects, the renovation includes all new flooring, tile, paint, restroom renovation, doors, millwork, new sanctuary stage platform layout and new acoustical panels. It’s worth noting that Arch-Con also built the Faithbridge Children’s Ministry Building in 2014. https://lnkd.in/gzU6ZXbH

This week marks National Association of Women in Construction (WIC) Week, an essential time to recognize women in the construction industry. But why limit the celebration to just a week? At Arch-Con, ladies are leading the charge this month with weekly topics including project management, accounting, marketing and information systems. Our team of women are leading the way every day, making our construction processes more efficient, innovative, and impactful. Thank you!

In construction, our work is demanding—long hours, physical labor and high-pressure environments make heart health essential. This month, we’ve focused on heart health—for ourselves, our families and our team. From cardiologist visits to a walk in the park, we’ve taken steps (literally!) to raise awareness about the importance of a strong, healthy heart on and off the job site.?????

Congratulations on turning 94, Deacon Joe! ??
Need inspiration today? Look no further than my dad who turned 94 years old recently! He began his day by riding his bike to mass at 6:00 am and finished it with a margarita and an honorary desert. Deacon Joe is an incredible man that I strive to do my best to walk in his footsteps…it isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. Arch-Con? Corporation

In honor of Heart Month, we invited Modern Heart and Vascular Institute’s Dr. Mayank Agarwal to have a heart-to-heart with our team and he gave us 5 powerful takeaways??: Prevention > Treatment:??? “Regardless of age, you should be screened at least once by a cardiologist. We’d rather see you BEFORE you have a heart attack—because there’s so much we can do to prevent it.” Small choices add up!??? “Your diet doesn’t have to be perfect—small, realistic changes are what make the biggest impact. We can’t control everything, but we CAN control our choices—how we eat, how we move, and how we manage stress.” MOVE! Aim for 10,000 steps: ?? “It’s not just about 30 minutes in the gym—it’s about what you do the other 23 hours.” Know the signs! ?? “The number one killer of women in the U.S. and globally is heart disease. Heart attack symptoms in women aren’t always chest pain—sometimes it’s nausea, jaw pain, or shortness of breath.” Find ways to unplug and reset and prioritize quality sleep:??? “Stress isn’t just in your head—it can physically weaken your heart and if you’re not sleeping well, your heart is working overtime.” A huge thank you to Dr. Agarwal and Modern Heart and Vascular for this impactful session. Fun fact: Arch-Con is building their newest facility in Humble, Texas! We can’t wait for them to change lives in it. ?? Learn more about Dr. Agarwal & Modern Heart & Vascular: https://lnkd.in/e6Fg72x
