En la Final Regional de la First Lego League Spain en #Asturias, organizada por COIT_AEIT Asturias con el patrocinio de ArcelorMittal Spain y #ArcelorMittalGlobalRDSpain y la colaboración de Escuela Politécnica de Ingeniería de Gijón, vimos mucha preparación de los chicos y chicas de los 12 centros educativos que desde octubre de 2024 han trabajado duro para llegar a esta final, y también muchos nervios... ?? ??The Clean Industrial Deal: right diagnosis, but more radical treatment needed The European Commission’s Clean Industrial Deal recognises steel’s strategic role, but solutions to pressing issues - global overcapacity, CBAM loopholes, energy costs, scrap - are left open, incomplete, or insufficient. ?? Without urgent, structural change, including short-term recovery measures, we risk losing Europe’s industrial backbone. ?? Steel is the foundation of Europe’s economy, security and, ultimately, sovereignty. As Mario Draghi warned last week, with recent geopolitical shifts, the case for 'radical change' is even greater —to restore competitiveness, attract investment, and secure a #StrongerWithEUSteel future. ?? Next key steps? After tomorrow's extraordinary ministerial conference convened by French Industry Minister Marc Ferracci jointly with his Italian counterpart Adolfo Urso on the future of European steel, the first Strategic Dialogue on Steel on 4 March - called by Commission President Ursula von der Leyen - will be crucial in pushing for a stronger treatment for the sector.
