Where are all the TIG Robots? Each welding process has it's applications, but I don't often see Gas Tungsten Arc or "TIG" welding systems integrated into robotic welding cells. I suspect that is because TIG is more complex to automate than Gas Metal Arc or "MIG". With TIG you must have an automatic torch height control, and TIG is considered to be a slow process. ARC Specialties is working to overcome all these issues. First, we apply our proven simple GTA interface, which we have installed all over the world on our ARC5 and ARC6 hot wire GTA welding machines. Second, we add our software-based automatic torch height control to follow irregular part contours and maintain constant arc voltage automatically independent of torch angle. Finally, we add our HOT-ONE hot wire power supply technology to preheat the filler wire and increase deposition rates 5 times. 35th Rolex I was honored to present our 35th 10-year Rolex to Matthew Brinkman. What made this one unique was that this was our first watch outside of Texas. Matt, along with his team Casey, Zack, and Jasin, has done an outstanding job running our Ohio testing lab.
