I grew up in Lancaster, PA, so it was a meaningful visit for me this week to The Arc Lancaster Lebanon. This Arc offers a variety of fantastic programs to support its community: * Child, Educational, and Adult advocacy * Family support- utilizing LifeCourse tools and resources * The Arc Academy- an advocate empowerment group with skill development in a classroom small group setting * Sib Talk- games, activities, peer support, and group discussions for siblings of children with disabilities * Community education- trainings and webinars with community partners * Diverse Abilities Training (DAT) for schools- grade-specific presentations to help educate students about disabilities * IM4Q (Independent Monitoring for Quality)- interviews of individuals receiving services Thank you, Abby Morris, Amy Austin, Amy Fisher, and Dana Henry, for your leadership and advocacy and for hosting me for the visit!
