Arbor Research recognizes Victor Andreev, PhD on reaching his 10-year work anniversary! Dr. Victor Andreev specializes in bioinformatics and complex systems modeling. His areas of expertise include proteomics, transcriptomics, and metabolomics, which he currently applies to the NIH-funded Symptoms of Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction Research Network (LURN). Dr. Andreev is the author of 89 peer-reviewed papers (54 first-authored) and 2 patents. He has been a valued member of Arbor Research for 10 years, and his expertise, hard work, and commitment have a hugely positive impact on Arbor Research and our work.?When asked what he values about Arbor Research,?Victor cited the collaborative spirit and friendly atmosphere. PRECEDE Consortium and Arbor Research John Graff, PhD presents an overview of Arbor Research's work as the data coordinating center for the Pancreatic Cancer Early Detection (PRECEDE) Consortium at the PRECEDE annual meeting in San Diego.?Arbor Research developed and maintains the PRECEDE study database, supports training and onboarding of study sites, manages biospecimen acquisition and tracking, and produces data reports. PDOPPS at ASN2024! Arbor Research was proud to showcase impactful work from the PDOPPS program, presented by Dr. Jeffrey Perl, clinical co-PI, during last weekend’s PDOPPS Investigator Meeting at ASN Kidney Week. Dr. Perl shared key findings on the prevalence and outcomes of chronic kidney disease-associated pruritus in patients on peritoneal dialysis, shedding light on an important area that affects patient well-being and outcomes. In addition to this presentation, investigators and stakeholders engaged in valuable discussions on future PDOPPS research directions, gathering input to shape the program's path forward. Arbor Research at American Society of Nephrology (ASN) Kidney Week 2024! Angelo Karaboyas, in collaboration with the Arbor Research team, will present the study “Gout Prevalence and Management Strategies among Patients with Moderate to Advanced CKD” on October 25, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Exhibit Hall. This multi-country analysis, part of the CKDopps study, explores the prevalence, patient characteristics, and management of gout in over 3,500 non-dialysis patients with moderate to advanced CKD across the United States and Brazil. With insights into the varied use of treatments like allopurinol and febuxostat, as well as differences in uric acid monitoring practices between the two countries, this study aims to shed light on opportunities for improving patient outcomes. Join us to learn how this research could pave the way for better management of gout in CKD patients globally.
