Last night I organized my second annual women in prop tech event bringing together female founders, investors, and stakeholders in real estate. Bringing together women who want other women to succeed is magic ?? Many thanks to Lynn Loacker and Project W and Davis Wright Tremaine LLP for their wonderful hospitality. Gathering of women leaders does not mean we do not love or care about having male peers. The sad truth is not all men, for reasons I never understood, are not capable of treating women with respect, and we need safe spaces to gather where we will not be harassed, groped, or touched. (Unfortunately it still happens and the men who surround us often do not speak up to stop bad things from happening.) Last year a few great things came from connections made at the event.
