VP, Marketing & Product at Xenium HR | Owner, Brandon Laws Marketing | Host of Transform Your Workplace
"All that matters is… did this person see me as a person? Were they trying to manipulate me? Did they think they were better than me? You can't mask whether or not you care, and whether you care about someone… is a function of how you see them." — Mitch Warner In my recent Transform Your Workplace Podcast conversation with Mitch Warner, we explored what it means to truly see and value others in leadership. Mitch hit home with a crucial point: authentic connection isn't about polished feedback delivery; it’s about how we genuinely view and care for others. Leaders, here’s the takeaway: people can tell if they’re seen as individuals or just a cog in the machine. When feedback and interactions come from a place of real respect and shared success, that’s when trust and impact thrive. #leadership #feedback #care #relationships The Arbinger Institute Xenium HR

Strategic Visionary | Leadership & Readiness Expert | Guiding Senior Leaders to Achieve Superior Organizational Performance
#emotion #emotional #framework #WorkplaceProductivity This week, I'm exploring the strategic AND tactical tools incorporated in The Arbinger Institute's #OutwardMindset here at Space Systems Command alongside my SSC teammates under the guidance and #coaching of our facilitator Chris... #emotion #emotional #framework #WorkplaceProductivity I’m thinkin’ about the role of “being #emotional” @ work… to me it means integrating my FULLEST range of #feelings and emotional awareness with what I do. Over the years, I’ve learned that emotions are more than moods like #happiness, #sadness, #anger, or #love—they are a FULL spectrum of responses such as #empathy, #excitement, #curiosity, #resilience, and more. For your consideration: Emotions are fundamental to processing experiences, connecting with others, and making decisions. Ignoring or suppressing our actual “human-beingness” responses may limit (or compromise) our authenticity, stifle creativity, and weaken our connections with teammates, stakeholders, and leadership. Emotional intelligence (EI) is just one of many frameworks for understanding emotions at work. It consists of four main components: self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, and relationship management. Self-awareness allows us to recognize our emotions; self-regulation helps us manage them; social awareness involves empathy—understanding others' feelings; relationship management guides us in building and sustaining positive (aka: better) interactions. This experience taught me that emotions are essential. When I bring my whole self to you – as a friend or teammate – we could build a culture of openness, trust, and mutual respect. My goal is always that we understand each other better, adapt to challenges, and collaborate effectively. Ready? (Picture below from: https://lnkd.in/enV3Acyb)

Managerial Excellence Speaker & Author "Lead From The Heart: Transformational Leadership For The 21st Century” Taught in 11 Universities. Lead From The Heart Podcast, sponsored by Chevron, Ranks In Top 1.5% In The World
Unlock?Your?Self-Awareness:?Leadership?&?Self-Deception?Unveiled! I’m excited to share my new “Lead From The Heart” podcast episode featuring Mitch Warner, CEO of The Arbinger Institute, which wrote the 3 million copy bestseller,?"Leadership?&?Self-Deception," now in its 4th edition! When I read this book, I realized how easy it is to be self-deceived (and to not routinely ask the important question: "How may I be contributing to the problem here?" -- so powerful is the human instinct to assume other people are always at fault in all our conflicts). Hope you’ll listen in to a discussion that will both challenge you & grow you. Find out if you have some self-limiting blind spots like I did. It's eye-opening to say the very least.
