Last weekend, we hosted an intimate Paper Doll Showroom with a couple of our partner brands! As kids, we loved playing with paper dolls, so we wanted to bring back the nostalgia of arts and crafts with fashion. The best part? All the brands used on the paper dolls during the event were available to try live and could instantly be shopped on arête! Building the future we want.
Arête, an AI-powered marketplace app, connects niche designers with consumers focused on sustainability and quality. One of their goals is to attract talent and enhance their platform by integrating cutting-edge tech insights through the collaboration with CSAIL Alliances. As a CSAIL Alliances Start-Up Connect Plus member, Arête attended their first CSAIL Alliances Annual Meeting last spring. At the event, co-founder Kotryna Jukneviciute and her team were able to meet PhD candidates and learn about their interests. As part of the growing “fashion tech” world, Arête wants to attract the best talent available to them, and they see CSAIL as a good place to do that. Our co-founders were at Massachusetts Institute of Technology yesterday! Maria Jesus Perez held a tech talk on Leveraging AI in fashion and how Arête is doing it! The conversation focused on LLM metadata extraction, automatic object detection and segmentation, and semantic search using fine tuned embedding.
