We installed an AquiPor paver pad over the winter here in the Pacific Northwest.?Installed by a professional contractor, and we wanted to prove out the ease of installation, cutting and life cycle during a winter of freeze-thaw in a cold climate. What’s so exciting about this 10x10 installation, is that if you can do 10s square feet, you can do 10 square miles. Climate Tech for the Built World
关于我们
According to the Natural Resources Defense Council, urban stormwater runoff generates 10 TRILLION gallons of polluted water that ends up into waterways and oceans, often combined with untreated sewage. Stormwater is one of the most pervasive environmental issues we face today. At AquiPor, we are advancing lifecycle water technologies for urban water systems, starting with large-scale green stormwater infrastructure solutions. Our patented material technology enables the production of hardscape material that is extremely strong, hyper-permeable, and with nanoscale porosity (making it resistant to clogging). These attributes allow the material to be made into surface permeable pavers, or applied along the curb line of streets to enable large-scale stormwater management, groundwater restoration, and sustainable water distribution in the Built World.

Sometimes a little outside validation feels good, and it was great to have pro landscaper Trevor Palmer talk about an AquiPor and how installing it went. No surprise - but it went well, and he has nice things to say. It’s very similar to installing traditional pavers, but AquiPor has the added benefit of being porous, stronger and greener than regular concrete pavers. Where would you install AquiPor if you could??
-
?? This is pure AquiPor aggregate ?? This porous material was created as an additive to regular concrete mixes. When added, regular concrete gets porous. And why does that even matter??Well cities are fighting floods from big rain events, and if we can keep that water from flooding, and picking up garbage, plastics, pollution and all that nasty stuff while it heads to our rivers, lakes and oceans. How much value and importance does that add to concrete installations??We think a lot, and we think it’s a business model for success. We’re offering shares in our start-up, a chance to buy equity before this thing goes worldwide we hope! See how you can join us and invest at https://lnkd.in/gRjEAtA?

AquiPor garnering worldwide attention. AquiPor was featured in the latest issue of Topos magazine based out of Munich, Germany. The issue was all about flooding and focuses on flood resilience and companies innovating to help cities fight stormwater flooding and pollution. AquiPor was highlighted in the curated products section! We feel this article, and others like it that find AquiPor compelling for our unique and patented material tech, a sign of the interest and adoptability of our Concrete 2.0. Hey, do you know what AquiPor Inside is? Well, it's an aggregate we make from our pure AquiPor material technology that you can add into regular concrete mixes and it makes stronger, more eco-friendly and really importantly, it makes it porous.?So now regular concrete get's turned into Concrete 2.0. City planners and engineers can now use AquiPor Inside to build sidewalks of the future that can help stop stormwater by absorbing rainfall back in the ground before it floods, and keeps all kinds of pollutants on the surface, allowing cities to clean it responsibly. Check out what we're all about at https://lnkd.in/gRjEAtA.?

We installed our latest paver technology in the chilly fall of the pacific northwest, and it went through an entire winter outside experiencing many freeze/thaw cycles.?We're happy to report that the porous pavers are flowing water without any reduction infiltration, and no cracks or damage from the cold. This is great news because one of our most asked questions is always how our version of concrete would hold up in extreme cold.?We're constantly testing our products and this is just one of many samples and installations that have proven out AquiPor. This gives investors, cities and engineers even more confidence in AquiPor.?Check out what we're doing at AquiPor.com?

A hurricane can generate a lot of runoff pollution, because of the large volume of rainwater it brings, which washes over land, picking up pollutants like soil, fertilizers, pesticides, debris, and chemicals from various surfaces, causing major contamination in waterways once the runoff reaches them.? So just imagine what AquiPor Inside - added to concrete to make it porous could do to solve these problems.?This could be a game changer for cities! Learn more at our website or crowdfund!?

Has AquiPor Developed Roman Concrete 2.0? AquiPor’s porous concrete aggregate is an ingredient that can be added to normal concrete mixes to transform it into high-performance porous concrete. But beyond the benefits of giving concrete the ability to filter stormwater and mitigate urban flooding, it also does something very interesting in concrete - it behaves as a pozzolan (aka Roman Concrete). A pozzolan is a type of material that, when finely graded and combined with water, reacts chemically with calcium hydroxide in cement to form new bonding compounds that enhance the durability and strength of concrete. The ancient Romans used pozzolans from volcanic ash in their concrete - building structures like the Pantheon and Colosseum that are still standing 2,000 years later. Pozzolans aren’t just ancient history. They're an important aspect of green construction and may represent the future of building. Using pozzolans reduces the carbon footprint of concrete, it improves strength and durability, And for the first time ever, we may have cracked the code for producing a new type of porous concrete that can take the place of sidewalks, parking lots, and streets to manage stormwater and flooding - while being stronger and more durable than traditional concrete. But instead of using volcanic ash, AquiPor has developed an engineered, metal-phopshate based material that super-charges concrete. The “proof is in the pudding”, and as we take AquiPor’s technology through its independent testing and standardization, we believe that AquiPor could completely reshape how concrete is used for paving - an advance that could become woven into the fabric of the built environment in ways we can't yet fully envision. Join us on our Mission and help us advance to the next stage of manufacturing the project development by investing in our crowdfund today!
