As we approach the end of this season, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on an incredible year at Aquilini Vineyards. We extend our gratitude to our talented vineyard manager, Raul, and our dedicated viticulturist, Jose, along with our exceptional winemaking team. This year, we successfully launched a new program to sell our Red Mountain grapes to Canada, shipping over 1,000 tons of grapes and juice. Our streamlined door-to-door service managed all freight and import paperwork, providing one-time use packaging to simplify the process for our partners. We look forward to connecting with our customers in the coming weeks to enhance our service for next year. ?? Meet the Team: Jose Madrigal, Viticulturist?? Hailing from Mattawa, WA, Jose Madrigal's journey into grape farming commenced under the mentorship of his father, an esteemed Vineyard Manager overseeing a sprawling 450-acre vineyard. With a Bachelor's degree in Viticulture & Enology earned in 2021, Jose quickly rose to the role of Head Viticulture Technician at Sagemoor Vineyards in the Columbia Valley. His expertise continued to evolve during his tenure as the Assistant Vineyard Manager at Hattrup Farms in the Yakima Valley. With over 25 years of experience—including 15 years overseeing apple orchards at Evans Fruit and a decade managing 360 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon at Sport Fisher—Raul has seamlessly translated his passion into exceptional vineyard management.
