Officer Newsome has designed and built a few of these doors to use in forcible entry training, and the concept is quickly catching on within the local fire training community. Wow, it's been awhile since our last post, we've been busy! Here's a little Friday time waster, it's just simply cool watching machines work. Cutting foam rubber spacers with a countersunk through hole, hence the angled cutting. Machine has to periodically untangle itself, a bit mesmerizing.. happy Friday!

Come along for the Tuesday Tour! Showing a few big projects we are involved with, long columns, large plates, thick plates, and large channels. We handle and process items from .002" shim stock to large structural fabrications, with a multitude of different material types! Steel (obviously), stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, plastics, rubber, foam, wood, carbon, graphite, tungsten carbide, silicon carbide, hardened tool steel, are all products we've cut on our waterjet machines. So this is a bit of a different post. In a world of social media where everyone tries to put their best face forward, sometimes reality gets skewed a bit. This is a picture of reality. Sometimes during a cut, for whatever reason, the abrasive stops flowing properly. It's one of those things that you can't always catch right away, so you can end up with a very bad finish. Most times we can fix up the piece with some weld repair, but in this case, we have yet to figure out how to weld stone, so there are times we just have to recut parts for the customer. We have cut many pieces of this material for this specific customer without any issues, but I guess this time was different. This particular piece might be able to be salvaged with some edge finishing, but likely not. At any rate, be assured that if this happens on your project, we will take care of you! We will never intentionally let things like this go out the door without informing you of the issue, and if we need to recut on our dime, it is what it is. #wecutanything #mistakeshappen #westandbehindit

This drip pan was one of those projects that elicited quite a few groans at first take, but once it was in progress and actually turned out, the groans faded into satisfactory grins. Was a perfect job for our laser welder, even holds water! #laserwelder #lightweld #precisionforming #sheetmetalfabrication
