Big News! ?? The Department of Defense (DoD) has updated its 2023 Interim Guidance on PFAS destruction, officially recognizing hydrothermal alkaline treatment (HALT) as an emerging technology under review. This is the first time HALT has been mentioned in an official DoD document—huge validation for our technology! ?? It's encouraging to see our solution helping drive the shift toward safer, more effective PFAS destruction methods. ?? France Takes Bold Action on PFAS! The French National Assembly has passed a landmark law banning PFAS in consumer products, including cosmetics, ski wax, and water-repellent textiles and footwear by 2026, with a full textile ban by 2030. The legislation also strengthens PFAS monitoring in drinking water and imposes financial penalties on industrial discharges, pushing manufacturers to meet strict limits and transition to PFAS-free alternatives. ???? As regulations continue to become more widespread, industrial manufacturers are under growing pressure to adopt solutions that go beyond mitigation. ?? A Special Day in Tacoma! ?? Last month, we were honored to host an event at the Tacoma Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, bringing together community members and local leaders to see our HALT PFAS destruction technology onsite! This event celebrated the kickoff of our first municipal-scale PFAS destruction demonstration, a milestone project combining advanced foam fractionation technology from our partners at ECT2 with Aquagga’s HALT system to completely destroy PFAS. This initiative would not be possible without the collaboration of the City of Tacoma, the Washington State Department of Ecology, and the University of Washington-Tacoma.
