?? ???????????????? ?????????????? ???????? ???? ?? Our recent National Webinar on Psychosocial Safety Research and Interventions was a great success! We were privileged to hear from international guest and expert in psychosocial safety and workplace wellbeing, Jo Yarker from Affinity Health at Work in the UK. ?????? ???????? ?????????? ????????????????: ??Despite ongoing mental health concerns at work, many leaders feel ill-equipped to help, and interventions seldom address the root of the problem. ??Framing psychosocial safety as 'working well' can help with gaining buy in from senior leaders. ??Assessing psychosocial risks but not taking action is NOT an option. ??A shared and integrated approach to managing risk is best, including the individual, teams, managers, the organisation, and outside supports. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the event. Stay tuned for future COPSA events and opportunities to continue the dialogue on workplace wellbeing and more. #psychosocialsafety #nationalwebinar #organisationalpsychology

Congratulations to past COPSA Committee Member, Denvar Summers for recently gaining area of practice endorsement, and the official title of Organisational Psychologist! ?????? Area of practice endorsement identifies psychologists who have advanced training in a specific area of practice, having completed a postgrad qualification and a registrar program. #organisationalpsychology #endorsement #congratulations
Despite now living and working in a country where "organisational psychologist" is not a protected term, I'm very pleased to announce that I can officially call myself an organisational psychologist! A huge thank you is owed to my supervisors throughout this process, Agata McCormac and Cassandra Heffernan, who generously donated their time and expertise. Likewise, the group supervision sessions organised by APS College of Organisational Psychologists South Australia were immensely helpful in expanding the scope of my learning, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to attend with my fellow registrars.
