Any increase can be difficult for homeowners to stomach, but considering the statewide rates that were applied for last year, this is great news for consumers! Commissioner Causey successfully negotiated a substantial decrease from what the Rate Bureau originally proposed.
Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey has negotiated a settlement on the NC Rate Bureau’s homeowners’ insurance request. A statewide average 7.5% increase agreement will take effect on June 1.
