April Housing is excited to participate in AHF Live?in Chicago next week. CEO Alice Carr will participate alongside other leaders on the State of the Industry Power Panel. Our Head of Preservation, Perica Bell, will receive the Young Leaders' Award. And COO Nina-Lee Jewell Alhambra will introduce the April Housing sponsored panel, Partnering with State HFAs. Our fourth annual CoreGiving Day was a global success! With over 3,000 volunteers from Blackstone and 21 of its portfolio companies, we made our largest impact yet—providing access to over 1 million meals across 80+ cities worldwide. For the first time, we expanded beyond North America, welcoming volunteers from Europe, Asia, and Australia who teamed up with over 90 hunger-relief organizations to support local families. Our annual Halloween costume contest was another great success and so much fun! We hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did!

Shannon Woods is an Assistant Vice President in Asset Management working in the Southeast division on our properties in Florida, Arkansas, and Tennessee. She is known among colleagues for her kind and genuine disposition, her wide breadth of knowledge, and her passion for making a positive impact. ? ?????????? ?????? ?????? ???????? ????? ? I’m based in northern Florida now, but originally from outside of Memphis, Tennessee. Since joining April, I’ve had the opportunity to travel back to Tennessee, particularly Nashville, where I’ve been enjoying taking in the sights and sounds of that exciting city. ?????? ?????? ???????????? ???????? ???? ???????????? ?? ???????????? ???? ?????????? ????????????????????? ? I was an English Literature major in college, but found my passion in asset management after taking a summer job working in a leasing office as a favor to a friend. I’ve found true pride and gratification in the people I have worked with throughout my career so far. The chance to make such an impact by providing quality homes and giving residents a safe place to thrive makes my job a joy. ? ???????? ???????? ???????? ?????????????? ?????? ???????? ????????? ? Well, I’m a bit of a?“beach bum,” so my perfect day would include a trip to St. George Island with my dogs (Daisy, an 11-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer, and Oui and Gunner, 15- and 6-year-old English Cocker Spaniels). We would relax, eat oysters, and spend the day looking at the waves.
