Retail giants like Walmart and Walgreens jumped into primary care with high hopes but quickly learned that “convenience” alone isn’t enough. While their efforts fell short, there’s a silver lining. In a recent episode of Becker's Healthcare Podcast, Dan Mendelson spoke about the on-site and near-site primary health care centers serving JPMorganChase's employees and dependents in Columbus, Ohio. Employees rank the program highly, with a Net Promoter score of 86. Lee Sagraves – one of our 35,000 Columbus-based employees – shares their personal experience with the on-site clinics. The ability to access these services within the workplace removed traditional barriers to care, including time and costs, and enabled them to get their diabetes under control. Lee is just one of many examples of how our work with apree health is creating a better health care experience. This center was launched in partnership with Anthem and, like all our Vera Whole Health care centers, focuses on providing whole-person care that improves health outcomes and lowers costs for both members and employers in the Atlanta community.
