Our first episode of Wigs on the Green aired yesterday! ICYMI: here are Tim Andersen and Marty Wagar tackling some of the most contentious issues in appraisal today: i.e., how to meet GSE requirements and work under AMC pressure for speed and low cost, all while maintaining ethics and professionalism and somehow, paying the bills. https://lnkd.in/ehgJfGNr

Wigs on the green. What does that mean? Picture an Irish courthouse in the 1700s. Bewigged barristers argue their cases in a court of law. Things get heated. The fight spills outside, to the village green. Punches are thrown. Wigs fly. In the aftermath, it's all blood, teeth and wigs littering the green. The phrase "There will be wigs on the green" evokes hot tempers and contentious arguments. And it's the title of our new series of live-streamed debates between Marty Wagar and Tim Andersen. We'll choose a hot appraisal topic, then they'll draw a side and defend it vociferously. They might not actually agree with themselves, but they'll fight it out?— and the audience will decide who won. Join us for the first episode on March 11th. Topic: GSE Demands vs. AMC Pressure. Don't miss the showdown!

Introducing "Wigs on the Green," our upcoming webinar series of lively debates. Tune in to see Marty Wagar and Timothy C. Andersen, MAI, MSc, CDEI defend opposing sides of a contentious issue in appraisal world. Hal Humphreys will moderate — in moderation. The discussion could get heated. And as with Irish barristers a few hundred years ago, dignified legal arguments could give way to rhetorical fisticuffs, and wigs may thus become dislodged — and fall to the ground. Hence, the archaic phrase, "There will be wigs on the green." Do. Not. Miss. This. Opening salvo: March 11th. https://lnkd.in/gi4s_hhZ

Taking comp photos can be risky and should no longer be a requirement. Prioritize your safety—avoid unnecessary risks. If needed, use tools or take photos from a side street to identify the property. #appraisers #appraisertrainee #valuation #appraisal
