The energy efficiency rating for Single-Unit Green Mortgage-Backed Securities (Green MBS) program has been lowered from a 60 HERS to a 55 HERS. The new UAD Report will be asking for the HERS rating. The HERS Ratings are available to appraisers at https://portal.resnet.us/. The Appraisal Portal does not cost and will provide valuable energy ratings for properties. #AppraisalInstitute #Appraisers

The standard of care is not part of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), and you won’t find it in leading textbooks. But it’s crucial for appraisers to understand. At its core, the standard of care defines an appraiser’s duty: what they must (or must not) do when carrying out an appraisal.
