The genie is out of the bottle. We live in an age where we must wrestle with complex ethical issues related to the creation, adoption and proliferation of artificial intelligence. This journal exists to facilitate thoughtful engagement with the ethical issues surrounding artificial intelligence and how they impact the world around us, the societies in which we live and each of us as individuals. AppliedEthics.ai exists to promote the thoughtful exploration of AI through the lens of ethical principles, concepts, and theories. We explore practical issues introduced by the actual or potential proliferation of artificial intelligence in our modern age with the goal of encouraging responsible decision making by all parties. We don't presume to solve the problem of AI, but hope to foster a crucial and impactful dialog within an organized community of experts.
