V. interesting paper just released - "LLaVA-o1: Let Vision Language Models Reason Step-by-Step," introducing an open-weights visual language model that performs spontaneous, systematic reasoning akin to GPT-o1. ??Their 11B model achieves incredible results, outperforming Gemini-1.5-pro, GPT-4o-mini, and Llama-3.2-90B-Vision-Instruct across six challenging multimodal benchmarks. ?This could open up exciting possibilities in on-device computer vision and NLP. ??
