Yipee-ki-yay! What a wonderful evening tonight raising awareness and support to kickoff the Alzheimer's Association Greater New Jersey 's 2025 Bergen Passaic Walk to End which will be held 9am Sunday September 14 at Overpeck County Park. We had great food from Joe D'angelo "The Sauce Guy", country music from Daniel Winston AND line dancing facilation from Shlomit Oren. Great cross mix of attendees for an even better cause. I am passionate about the care for our elder population, especially for those who are afflicted and impacted by dementia. We do have an End to Alzheimer’s Walk Kickoff Event March 22 6pm-10pm at the Knights of Columbus in Fair Lawn. The theme is Country Western, with line dancing (at 730pm), food and a DJ.s. All FREE of charge. We’re collecting RSVPs via Google Form (bit.ly/2025BPKickoff - NOTE: it is case-sensitive). This event is to raise awareness for For the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday Sept 14 - Overpeck Park (in Ridgefield Park). Please consider getting involved and supporting the cause to find a cure for this insidious disease.

Each year I look back and remember the Applause Home Care clients that have moved on. We were with many of these individuals and familes during their last moments. As life and time marches on, thinking about those who may not be physically here but are with us in spirit, helps me think about why we do what we do. Sometimes, there is no logical reason other than to help people at their most vulnerable time. I do think that this is a sacred time and it is truly an honor to be trusted to be there and bear witness to someone's life.
