Yesterday we had the pleasure of not only sponsoring the Association of Fundraising Professionals' National Philanthropy Day but attending in support of this year's Spirit of Philanthropy award recipient, the one and only Andy Vanhook! ??? While Andy was out of the office on a much-deserved vacation, Dick Halterman stepped in to accept the award on his behalf. But in true Andy fashion, he also put together a video to be played live at the event to thank the association for this incredible honor. ???? Here at Appeal, we'll be the first to tell you that we can think of no one better to represent the Spirit of Philanthropy. Andy's dedication to our community is unmatched. With a deep commitment to serve others and a passion for giving back, this is only the beginning for Andy. Jon and Andy Vanhook had a great time last week at the Rocktown History "Pairings with a Purpose" fundraiser to support local history education and preservation! ???? They were on-site to capture this monumental event for Rocktown History as Chef Tassie Pippert led attendees through a tasting of three Virginia wines paired with some delicious chocolates. They captured the guests networking, conversing with one another, and having a great time! ??
