Congratulations, Jackie Carr (Apparel Merchandising) and Lizzie Minor (Apparel Merchandising)! Jackie and Lizzie were selected to represent Auburn University at the University of New York Fashion Week. Throughout the Fall semester, they participated in the Believe Program, hosted by the Auburn University Office of Trademark Management & Licensing. The program includes a selection process for participation (only eight students are selected) and in-depth research on three prompts. Participants present their findings to AU licensees and retailers, who provide feedback and career advice to the students. In February 2025, Jackie and Lizzie will join other selected students from multiple universities nationwide to participate in a 4-day academic enrichment program that offers students a behind-the-scenes look at the fashion?industry hosted by the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC). The CLC partners with WME Fashion to provide unique programming around New York Fashion Week--students attend a runway show and panel discussions and engage with industry leaders across the fashion and licensed sports industries.?This business-focused programming is integral to the entire U of NYFW experience. Students can build a valuable network through building relationships with other students on the trip, CLC employees, and those they interact with throughout the various programming activities. We want to thank Jennifer Blackmon, Director of AU Office of Trademark Management & Licensing and CADS Apparel Advisory Board Member, for her exceptional leadership. We also appreciate the support and guidance provided by Kris Talley, Michelle Yesse, Alison Manley, Marc Herman, Michael Wright, Paige Pearson, Chris Green, John Staton, Sarah Grace Richardson, Jason Lowe, Madison Lindley, and Lindsey Wright. Your career advice and feedback were instrumental in our student's success throughout the Believe Program.
