We're paving the way for the digital transformation of enterprise SATCOM networks. ATG was awarded a Phase 1 and Phase 2 SBIR by USSF to study virtualized modem architectures to support Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and develop a High-Performance virtualized modem prototype with a 100GB Digital IF (DiFI) interface. The combined SBIR efforts will feed into concept designs for a fully scalable and agile SATCOM network architecture that will empower the DOD to be able to deploy new technologies and capabilities in days, not years. This innovation could break vendor lock-in and reduce infrastructure costs by decoupling the hardware from the application by using common computing hardware deployed in a 5G or cloud-like architecture. #TechInnovation #SATCOM #DOD #DigitalTransformation #Virtualization
