Today our team volunteered at an incredible organization, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. Founded by the actor Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is dedicated to providing “a different kind of healing” to seriously ill children and their families, free of charge. Through their summer camp and a variety of year-round programs offered onsite, in hospitals and clinics, and right in camper homes and communities, they serve thousands of children and family members each year. Much of our work at Apollo focuses on people with serious, rare, and life-threatening diseases. Today gave us the opportunity to connect with the patient communities we serve and each other in meaningful ways. #adifferentkindofhealing

We’re ready for our close-up, Mr. DeMille! Today, the Apollo office was taken over by a camera crew for a video that will be coming soon to the Helios Medical Communications website. Many of our team members gave their take on what it is to be an Apollonian, and one thing became abundantly clear: we have a lot of untapped talent for on-camera work! At Apollo, we are always looking for ways to connect to the why of what we do. A big part of that is focusing on the patients we help serve through our partnerships with our clients. In 2023, we launched “Apollo Walks!”, an effort to raise money for research in the many disease areas we are privileged to serve. As of December 31, we walked a whopping 6663 miles and raised $1,889! We are proud of our colleagues’ achievements and their heart for our shared purpose and work. We look forward to seeing how far we can go in 2024. #medcomms #raredisease #furthertogether
