Last week I attended "The Role of Women in Driving Innovative Leadership Styles", hosted by APIW/ Greater Hartford (Association of Professional Insurance Women), CGI and Dress for Success Worldwide.?? As a proud member of APIW, it was a great opportunity to finally meet the incredible women in our network and connect with like-minded professionals for the first time. The event provided a powerful platform to celebrate, learn and listen to the stories of amazing women leaders who were part of a panel. The insights shared were not only empowering but also reinforced how important diverse leadership is in driving positive change and fostering innovation across industries. We heard from Dress for Success Worldwide, which is a global nonprofit that supports unemployed and underemployed women to achieve economic independence. Dress for Success empowers women to transform their lives and re-envision their future through services, tools, and professional attire to secure employment and advance their careers. I also had the privilege of meeting inspiring women leaders, which served as a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting, uplifting, and encouraging one another. Had a fantastic time APIW/ Greater Hartford event held at CGI's office in the boat building. The evening included networking, a fabulous executive panel including attendee dialogue as well as presentation from Dress for Success Executive Director Sara Avatapalli. The event collected business attire for Dress for Success as well as raising over $700 in donations. I am looking forward to connecting with Hartford professional at other events the organization has planned for 2025.
