Ego lifting isn’t just a gym problem…it’s a business/workplace epidemic too ????? In the gym, it’s about loading the bar with more weight than you can handle, chasing applause while ignoring technique. In business, it’s chasing funding rounds, shiny titles, or massive expansions without solid foundations, or flaunting busyness as a badge of honor. Both make you look strong for a moment, until reality forces a painful reset. Both lead to burnout, injury (to your body or your reputation), and missed opportunities for real growth. It’s not the weight you lift, but how sustainably you can carry it forward. Ego lifters often draw the biggest crowd, but it’s the quiet, consistent builders who end up owning the arena. So how much weight is your ego making you lift? ?? Video credits: EL Campeon “The godfather of ego lifting” ?? #gym #egolifting #discipline #entrepreneurship #innovation

Individuals can shift between rationality and irrationality based on the moment. But a crowd? A crowd is a living, breathing embodiment of irrationality. History shows us how easily reason evaporates in the heat of collective emotion. The French Revolution began with ideals of equality but spiraled into a frenzy of fear and bloodshed. Markets swing wildly, not because of logic, but because crowds panic and euphoria spread like wildfire. In a crowd, individuality dissolves. Logic is replaced by the need to belong, to conform, to ride the wave, even if it crashes. Next time you find yourself aligning with mass opinion in any context (scientifically, politically, religiously, socially etc.) take a step back and revaluate! A crowd mentality/thinking will make you do irrational things, that you wouldn’t do otherwise. #groupthink #criticalthinking #crowd #elections #voting #opinions

Walking down the crowded streets of Mumbai, I noticed strangers glancing at their reflections in my sunglasses. They weren’t seeing me, they were seeing themselves. Funny how we’re always drawn to our own reflection, even in passing strangers. Maybe that’s the true journey: to see ourselves more clearly, no matter the mirror. Are we all mirrors? Reflecting a bit of each other? ?? For those who are interested, shared a small anecdote in the comments below! ?? #reflections #introspection #mumbai #satori

They weren’t looking at me; they were looking at their own reflections.

It’s funny — sometimes, even when we look at others, we’re really searching for ourselves.

Maybe that’s the ultimate journey: to see ourselves more clearly, no matter the mirror.

Instead of starting a business to solve a problem… Most new businesses/entrepreneurs end up creating a problem for themselves Calling it a business/start up. This is a paradoxical goose chase, It not only ends up wasting time and resources But also precious mind space, Pushing them further away from potential breakthroughs! #problems #entreprenuership #startup #business #time

Guerrilla Marketing, Circa 2nd Century AD: Way before hashtags, someone in ancient Egypt had a brilliant (and bold) marketing strategy. This Greek-inscribed sandal left “ΑΚΟΛΟΥΘΕΙ” (“follow me”) imprinted in the sand wherever its owner walked. Some say it was used by guides or promoters, but others think it was a tool for pimps or even prostitutes to attract attention. Turns out, “foot traffic” was as valuable then as it is now! Sometimes, the oldest marketing tricks really do leave the deepest impressions. #guerillamarketing #branding #followme #ancientmarketing #traction

When we look at this image, it’s more than a cross-section of an old road—it’s a powerful metaphor for how human progress builds upon itself, layer by layer. From chalk paths and Bronze Age trackways to Roman roads and modern highways, each layer represents an era’s unique solution to the same challenge: moving forward. Each generation innovated, not by erasing the past, but by building on top of it. They didn’t discard previous efforts but adapted and refined them, leaving a lasting legacy for the next generation. This layered progression makes me wonder: - In our race for innovation, are we remembering to respect and build upon the foundations laid by those before us? - Are we merely creating the next “new thing,” or are we contributing to a structure that will support future generations? In our own professional lives, especially in fields like technology, strategy, and organizational culture, we’re often focused on disrupting, reinventing, and breaking away from the past. But perhaps true innovation isn’t about discarding old layers; it’s about understanding and strengthening them. Imagine if we approached our challenges this way: rather than seeing ourselves as individuals building isolated highways, we’d see ourselves as contributors to a multi-generational roadmap. So, as we are “moving forward,” let’s ask ourselves—are we laying down foundations, or just temporary roads? How are you ensuring your work today leaves a solid foundation for tomorrow? #innovation #leadership #FutureOfWork #sustainableprogress #layeredthinking #longtermimpact

Are generational labels limiting us more than we think? Have you ever wondered why we’re all grouped into neat generational boxes: Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, Gen Z? Is this just a convenient way to understand people, or is it shaping our society in ways we don’t realize? These labels aren’t just accidental groupings; they’re rooted in a retail-driven need to simplify people into predictable segments for easier selling. Western consumer capitalism found a shortcut to optimise manufacturing and marketing: ? Just as standard clothing sizes (S, M, L, XL) emerged to optimize manufacturing rather than fit real bodies ? Generational boxing serves to simplify consumer demographics for easier marketing ? This oversimplification ignores the complexity of human experience and perspective The result? A one-size-fits-all view of each age group’s values, preferences, and identity. Now, here is where it starts getting interesting! In a world where algorithms learn from our data, these generational tags push us toward content that reinforces our own demographic echo chambers. The more we’re fed content “tailored” to our generational identity, the more we risk becoming closed off to different perspectives, past and future. Rendering a psychological make up of herd conformists. Could this lead to a form of generational myopia? A state where we’re boxed into certain viewpoints, becoming less open to ideas outside our demographic? And if that’s true, what impact does this have on innovation, empathy, and progress? Are they helping us understand each other, or just creating a self-fulfilling prophecy of division? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Are we more than our generational tags? Or are they shaping us more than we’d like to admit? P.S. This post was inspired by an exchange I had with Amit Gupta recently on his comical post on #GenZ ?? #algorithms #socialpsychology #bias #marketing #diversity #futurism
