Acrison Inc. Case Study: Self-Rising Flour Line at Flour Mill ? The Problem: The process of making self-rising flour includes the adding of several different ingredients to milled flour. This would result in the density of the product changing with the addition of each ingredient. When the density changes, the flow rate of the volumetric feeders would need to be manually altered. In order to maintain quality and consistency, the flour needed to be batch-tested every hour to ensure the correct proportion of ingredients were used during this manual process. This meant that if the control lab was closed, so was production. ? Solution: Acrison created a new production line of two Acrison Loss-in-Weight Feeders installed below two Acrison Volumetric Feeders with level probes. This system accurately and repeatedly controlled the proportion of ingredients. This system also featured controllers to monitor the system with real-time accuracy. ?
