Kelly Denison shares his experience with the mastermind group Apex Boardroom, where we challenge each other to grow, hold each other accountable, and provide the honest feedback you won’t always get from employees, friends, or even family. I’m hosting a CEO Roundtable for companies with $2M–$30M in revenue on March 26th at 1 PM PST. This is a free event. No pitches, just high-impact conversations about growth, hiring, strategy, and leadership. Who It's For: CEOs of companies with $2 million to $30 million in revenue who want to connect with peers to have real, curated conversations about the challenges and opportunities they face. What It Is: A virtual roundtable, hosted by Apex Boardroom, that brings together 12-15 qualified CEOs for facilitated discussions on topics that matter most to growth-stage leaders. Why It Matters: - Being a CEO at this level can be isolating - Most CEOs lack true peers they can speak openly with - Peer advisory works! This is a no-cost, high-value way to experience it How It Works: - Connect with other like-minded CEOs - 60 minute virtual session - Curated discussion topics (growth, hiring, leadership, strategy, etc.) - Peer-to-peer exchange (not a webinar or sales pitch) - Hosted by Apex Boardroom Spots are limited. If you want to attend, message me or type Roundtable in the comments below.

CEOs, I know you are all big visionary thinkers, but sometimes this is your disadvantage. Too much neglect of small details or adjustments can derail your business. Learning from others who have already made the mistake is a great way to prevent missing these small details. This is why CEOs love joining ApexBoardroom.com; it is often not what you know that kills you, but what you don't know that does.

A younger CEO was going to invest $150,000 into a marketing agency. Until our group asked him this. "What CRM do you have set up?" It turns out that this CEO had very little expertise in marketing. The other CEO's then gave a crash course on the basics. 1. CRMs 2. Positioning 3. Understanding his customer's needs He wasn't ready to invest in marketing (yet). Masterminds like ApexBoardroom.com have saved many new CEOs hundreds of thousands of dollars of bad decisions.

A mid-life crisis brought me back to a personal passion at 40. I loved playing golf since I was 13 years old. Eventually, I got so busy with work that I stopped playing. Yet, amidst the hustle and bustle, I paused and wondered, "What can I do differently?" Despite business success, I faced personal setbacks—strained relationships, health concerns, and burnout—just like many of our Apex CEOs. I needed a work-life integration, and that included golf. I found myself surrounded by a new group of friends who were good players. This ignited my competitive spirit. As soon as I prioritized myself as a full person, not just a CEO, I made more money in less time. I also became one of the top amateur golfers in California at age 45.
