Generational changes are upending ‘tried and true’ fundraising techniques. As wealth and philanthropic decision-making power transitions to Generation X and Millennials, giving practices—and priorities—are shifting. As even younger generations begin to use their dollars as advocacy,?new?opportunities are emerging. Engaging these ‘next-generation’ donors takes more than a strategy shift. It requires a whole?new?way of thinking about why and how our organizations achieve impact—and how we invite donors into the process. Join us at this free, virtual event hosted in partnership with NYU SPS George H. Heyman Jr. Program for Fundraising and Philanthropy to explore: · What motivates ‘next gen’ donors—and how does that differ from prior generations? · How to engage with ‘next gen’ donors in an authentic way?? · How to shift your communication, cultivation, and stewardship strategies to adapt to up-and-coming generations of donors? · How to avoid common mistakes and wasted efforts #fearlessfundraisers #nonprofitleadership #nonprofitfundraising #fundraising #nonprofitleadership #philanthropy #majorgifts #donorrelations #training #professionaldevelopment #aperiophilanthropy

Realize your fundraising potential so your mission can thrive.
关于我们
Your people are your fundraising potential. Successful nonprofits are communities: people coming together around a shared mission. Successful fundraising is nothing more than harnessing the power of those people—staff, volunteers, donors, and clients—to turn big ideas into big leaps forward for your mission. Aperio simplifies your path to unlocking their full potential for fundraising growth. People are waiting to do more to support your mission, whether you’re struggling to make ends meet or thriving and ready to do more. We enable your community to gain confidence, set bold goals, and make progress—quickly. As fundraisers with experience advancing a broad range of missions—arts, education, healthcare, hunger, disaster relief, social services, and more—we bring the expertise and tools that your team needs to succeed. And we roll up our sleeves to work alongside them to go beyond great ideas and take meaningful action—and succeed. In a year of crisis, we are re-learning the most enduring lesson of fundraising: relationships are more than important, they are everything. No technology, event, or campaign can create the magic that happens when people connect with each other personally and work together to change our world. Now is the time to invest in your organization’s relationships and relationship-based fundraising efforts—the only reliable path to growing revenue. Empower your clients to tell their stories. Engage your volunteers in moving the mission forward. And create ways for your donors to sustain your impact and transform our world.

We're excited to see Aperio Senior Director Katherine Tuider speak at the AIP Conference on Philanthropy 2024. Katherine will join Erinn Andrews, Founder & CEO of GiveTeam, to discuss the value of, and concerns about, donor-advised funds: "Analyzing DAFs: Considering both Donor and Nonprofit Perspectives" In the last 10-15 years, Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) have surged in popularity, sparking both excitement and concern. In this session, we will look at the latest research on DAFs, evaluating why they have become such a popular giving vehicle option for individual donors, especially as compared to private foundations. We will analyze DAFs according to age demographics, giving account sizes, types of assets donated, anonymity, and payout rates. We will highlight controversies and concerns over the popular vehicle. Participants will additionally learn about three DAF donor archetypes to understand the different ways donors are using their accounts to enact their charitable priorities, adding nuance to the discussion, especially in the context of possible new DAF regulations. Join us at next week's free, virtual Aperio book club meeting! Even if you don't have time to read the book, you'll benefit from rich conversation on a topic we all experience as nonprofit leaders and fundraisers: burnout. In "Fundraising Without Burnout", Radha Friedman, a philanthropic advisor with decades of experience funding nonprofits around the world, offers a frank and witty critique of how the “best practices” we’ve been taught are actually sabotaging our fundraising efforts. By debunking the myths that keep inequitable practices in place, Radha provides solutions that help nonprofit leaders redefine their purpose, prevent burnout, and meet their fundraising goals while reclaiming their peace. #fundraisingwithoutburnout #fundraising #nonprofitfundraising #fearlessfundraisers #philanthropy #nonprofits #bookclub #virtualbookclub

We know you're feeling it too: Elections affect us all—including all our fundraising programs. Some donors shift resources to campaigns; others invest more deeply in issue areas. As fundraisers, we face more noise in telling our stories and sparking conversations. We also have an opportunity to spotlight the relevancy of our missions and develop meaningful partnerships with donors. This Thursday, join us as we convene a panel of experienced leaders to discuss how to approach fundraising in this election season: What can we learn from past elections? How could the upcoming election affect the year-end giving season that follows? What strategies and tactics can fundraising teams use to elevate their work in a noisy environment? What should every organization be doing right now to prepare?
