?? A new type of treatment for Parkinson’s disease (PD) has just been approved by the FDA! If you experience OFF periods, or times during the day when PD symptoms are not well controlled, this medication could help. Previously available as an injection called Apokyn?, this apomorphine (a dopamine stimulant whose effects are felt quickly) is now available as ONAPGO - a subcutaneous (under the skin) infusion. We are thrilled that there is an additional treatment option for people with PD, providing doctors with more options to personalize treatment plans for each patient. We will continue to provide updates as new therapies become available, and as always, we encourage you to consult your care team if you think a new medication might be right for you.
