The Apache NiFi Team is pleased to announce the release of Apache NiFi 2.0.0. NiFi 2.0.0 is the first general availability release of the next major version. This release includes over 350 issues resolved, representing the combined work of over 2000 issues completed over four milestone versions in the past year. Support for Processors in native #Python and a new user interface built on the current version of #Angular are just a few of many features and improvements in NiFi 2. Direct integration with #GitHub and #GitLab for flow versioning, plus streamlined clustering on #Kubernetes are several of the enterprise-ready capabilities that NiFi 2 provides. Running on a modernized foundation of #Java 21, NiFi 2 includes major advancements in dependency security. The Apache NiFi Team has published CVE-2024-52067 regarding potential insertion of sensitive parameter values in debug logs. Deployments of Apache NiFi with the default Logback configuration do not log Parameter Context values. Upgrading to Apache NiFi 2.0.0 or 1.28.1 is the recommendation mitigation, eliminating Parameter value logging from the flow synchronization process. https://lnkd.in/ggdvA65t

In preparation for the next milestone release of Apache NiFi 2.0.0, the project has established the nifi-python-extensions source repository. This source repository provides a dedicated location for Processors developed using the new #Python API, decoupling these extensions from framework releases.
