NiFi 2.2.0 is the third release of the version 2 series, including new features, improvements, bug fixes, and dependency upgrades. This release includes over 50 issues resolved. The Apache NiFi Team has published CVE-2024-56512 regarding missing complete authorization for Parameter and Service references when creating Process Groups. The vulnerability applies to Apache NiFi 1.10.0 through 2.0.0. The scope is limited to authenticated users, authorized to create Process Groups, when the NiFi deployment is configured with component-based authorization policies. The Apache NiFi Team has published CVE-2024-52067 regarding potential insertion of sensitive parameter values in debug logs. Deployments of Apache NiFi with the default Logback configuration do not log Parameter Context values.
