We’re delighted to share that Shelby Russ, AOS’ President + CEO has been selected to this year’s Biz New Orleans Magazine “New Orleans 500!”?Now in its second edition, the annual publication profiles influential, involved and inspiring business leaders, who are driving the greater New Orleans economy today and making decisions that will shape the region’s future. ? Shelby has served on numerous industry and community advisory boards throughout his career and believes in giving back to the region with his time whenever possible. He currently sits on the Board for the Contemporary Arts Center, and in 2018 was honored to be named a Role Model by the Young Leadership Council and a Patron of Architecture by the Louisiana Architecture Foundation (LAF). He previously served on the YAYA Board for 10 years, the New Orleans Architecture Foundation (NOAF) Board and is a former chair and board member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). ? Shelby is immensely humble though and will be the first to say he wouldn’t reach these achievements alone. He is immensely proud of the community surrounding him, the 92 employees at AOS, and of course, his wife, Susan, and three children, Caroline, Trip and Zac. ? Congratulations to Ascension Parish Library on the reopening of their Donaldsonville Branch! Designed by Multistudio, the newly renovated facility goes beyond books to provide an innovate learning center, including a digital lab, maker-space, and recording studio. With the expansion, the library has an additional 2,700 square-feet of space for its collections and features designated areas for adults, teens and children, study rooms, a public meeting room, and a staff work room and lounge. Congratulations to Grambling State University on the ribbon cutting of their new Digital Library + Learning Commons! Today’s students are social learners with unlimited access to information and digital media.
