Founded in 1909, the AOCS is an international scientific society with more than 4,500 members in over 90 countries. AOCS offers a forum for the exchange of ideas, information, and experience among its members and others who have a professional interest in the science and technology of fats, oils, surfactants, detergents, and related materials. AOCS Mission: AOCS advances the science and technology of oils, fats, proteins, surfactants, and related materials, enriching the lives of people everywhere. Meet Eiji Nishinaga, who will join us from Japan as a panelist at the AOCS Fabric & Home Care Forum. Mr. Nishinaga began his career at LION Corporation, Japan, in 1997, working as a researcher in Oral Care Research Laboratories. Over the course of his 27-year career, he has served in a number of roles in R&D, including oral care product development and applications development. In 2019, he was named General Manager of Oral Care Research Laboratories, and in 2022, he was appointed Deputy Executive General Manager of R&D Headquarters. He is currently the Executive Officer and General Manager of the Sustainability Promotion Department. Eiji earned his Ph.D. in Dentistry (Salivary diagnostics) from Aichi Gakuin University, Japan, in 2019 and an M.S. in Organic Chemistry from Kyoto University in 1997.
