Founded in 1909, the AOCS is an international scientific society with more than 4,500 members in over 90 countries. AOCS offers a forum for the exchange of ideas, information, and experience among its members and others who have a professional interest in the science and technology of fats, oils, surfactants, detergents, and related materials. AOCS Mission: AOCS advances the science and technology of oils, fats, proteins, surfactants, and related materials, enriching the lives of people everywhere. As an international professional organization, we ● provide current and emerging information and disseminate research results in oils, fats, lipids, proteins, surfactants and related materials, through our meetings, publications, and web presence; ● develop and uphold methods of analysis used in global trade and research, conduct proficiency testing, provide reference materials, and coordinate with other standards developers including ISO and Codex Alimentarius; ● facilitate and strengthen interactions among professionals through meetings, specialized interest groups and other networking opportunities; and, ● collaborate with other scientific societies and related organizations to promote the advancement of science.     Meet Kevin Goodall, Senior Director of R&D, Procter and Gamble, Belgium. At the AOCS Fabric & Home Care Forum, Mr. Goodall will present Advanced Analytical Techniques Characterising Water Soluble Polymer Environmental Behaviour, Classification/Definition, and Impact. To hear him speak and to join the conversation, please register for this event here: https://buff.ly/41sgTcP About Kevin Goodall Mr. Goodall is a graduate of Oxford University, UK (1988), with First-Class Honours in Chemistry. With over 35 years of experience in global and regional FMCG product development, he has built an extensive career in R&D at Procter & Gamble. His professional journey has included assignments in the UK, US, and Belgium, encompassing a variety of roles across both upstream and downstream R&D. Currently, Mr. Goodall serves as Senior Director of R&D at Procter & Gamble in Belgium, working in the global Fabric Care business. He focuses on innovation for global unit dose brands such as Tide, Cascade, Ariel, and Fairy, as well as sustainability initiatives aligned with the EU’s “Green Deal.” Additionally, he is a recent graduate of the Cambridge University/Emeritus Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies course. Based at one of P&G’s largest R&D facilities outside the US in Brussels, Mr. Goodall leads teams across multiple regions and has lived in the US, Japan, and the UK throughout his professional career. Outside of work, he is an avid field hockey player and enjoys traveling.     Meet Kamel Mansouri, PhD, Computational Chemist, NTP Interagency Center for the Evaluation of Alternative Toxicological Methods (NICEATM), United States. He will present OPERA: Open-Source QSAR Models for Regulatory Support at this year's Fabric & Home Care Forum. Since 2020, he has been spearheading computational chemistry endeavors at the NTP Interagency Center for the Evaluation of Alternative Toxicological Methods (NICEATM) within the U.S. National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). His focus includes QSAR modeling, cheminformatics, and computational toxicology, with a reputation for fostering international collaborations and leading scientific consortia.
