Get involved in a new validation study! ISO - International Organization for Standardization is calling for participants in the collaborative study to validate the method, ”ISO 21379: Animal and vegetable fats and oils —Determination of dioxins and Dioxin-like Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) —The HRGC/HRMS method," on an international level. It is important to have international representation and participation for the validation study. The method determines the content and toxic equivalent (TEQ) of 17 types of polychlorinated dibenzo dioxins (PCDDs), polychlorinated dibenzo furans (PCDFs), and 12 types of dioxin like polychlorinated biphenyls (DL-PCBs) in plant oils, animal oils, and mixed oils by HRGC-HRMS. ISO/CD 21379 is applicable to plant oils, animal oils, and mixed oils and the standard needs to be validated internationally on these oil types.
