New LCA datasets available for UPR and Vinyl Esters rPET-based formulations bring a low Eco-footprint Through the recent Ecoinvent 3.11 release, new LCA datasets are now available from the Cefic UP/VE Sector Group for most important UPR and VE resin chemistries. With this information, you can calculate the eco-footprint of your composites components (cradle-to-gate) and demonstrate the positive impact these versatile materials can bring to the environment. The new data indicate that a significant reduction in Eco-footprint can be achieved by using rPET-based resins instead of using traditional UPR resins.
