"Why do my remote employees feel so isolated?" ?? Ahem. "We just did an offsite, but people already feel siloed again." ?? Hi. "We're doing monthly social events but it's not working" ?? Allow me to introduce myself. I'm there when it feels like nothing else is working. They say insanity is trying the same thing over and over again, but expecting a different result. There is no offsite or monthly activity that’s good enough to fight off the isolation epidemic remote employees are facing. If you’re not regularly scheduled social events for your team, on a weekly basis, your employees are just not going to have the chance to bond. As you start making your plans for the new year, maybe it's time to try something new. Weekly team-building with Anywhere League trivia gives your employees time to really get to know one another. Because a team that respects one another and has a chance to practice communication skills and problem-solving in a lighthearted way will always be more productive. Turning awkward "team building" into authentic, fun camaraderie through remote trivia leagues | Chief Nerd at Anywhere League | Source of random facts
Employees need to feel like they have time to recharge, relax, and socialize if they need to. Regardless of if they're in-person or remote. I frequently tell people that with Anywhere League I wanted to provide a lunchroom experience for remote workers, rather than the water cooler. And it works! I see people eating (and making) lunch on calls all the time. It's a ritual that can help a team feel more connected, no matter where they are.
