We are so excited to welcome Brittney Nguyen as our Head of Assay Development! Brittney brings product development experience at diagnostics startups that builds on deep scientific training as a PhD microbiologist. As we continue to make R&D progress, Brittney is performing a bit of alchemy to turn our unique assay framework into robust, high-performance tests that will reliably serve patients. We are unbelievably lucky to have her on board.

Rapid, scalable microbial diagnostics for precision medicine.
关于我们
Anvil is building efficient diagnostics for precision medicine. Our core technologies in rapid, scalable DNA detection will enable a new generation of accessible and routine diagnostics for the most complex conditions. Rather than building our own hardware platform from scratch, we develop unconventional statistically motivated assays to upgrade the capabilities of existing digital PCR systems. Follow us if you are passionate about bridging data science and molecular biology. We are first developing a rapid assay for critically ill patients that can broadly detect and quantify 100's of plausible pathogens and genetic markers directly from a blood sample. Today's diagnostics take days and often fail outright, and the lack of a rapid and reliable alternative forces clinicians to treat critically ill patients based on educated guesses. We envision a simple, routine test that consistently delivers actionable results and resolves clinical ambiguity.

We are so grateful to have been selected to pitch at the BioTools Innovator Road Tour last week. For a full day, we received targeted feedback from curated, experienced judges. We are making fast progress on our core technology, and opportunities like this help us stress-test our vision and clarify the path ahead. Huge thanks BTI for hosting a great event!

We are excited to see leaders from bioMérieux, a major force in IVD and microbiology, recognize digital PCR as "the future technology for diagnostics" given its much higher sensitivity than standard qPCR. Several instrument developers have been launching digital PCR systems in the last few years. The latest Nio+ from Stilla Technologies boasts impressive analytical capabilities, a smaller form factor, and convenient workflows for busy labs. Congrats to Stilla on the new platform launch! At Anvil, we are building powerful, unconventional assays on digital PCR systems. The future is bright for this technology. https://lnkd.in/gFH57aV6

We are excited to see that the foundational Rice University research underpinning Anvil's technology was just published in Analytical Chemistry. This paper demonstrates how digital PCR and compressed sensing can be combined to efficiently differentiate many microbes with simple assays. Anvil is further developing interdisciplinary approaches like this for potent applications in clinical diagnostics and beyond. https://lnkd.in/eCWRyCDx
